Description
What makes this rear derailleur special?
The Shimano 105 5500 series emerged in the late 1990’s (1998). This series overhauled the 105 lineup with the first integrated shifter / lever in a 9 speed setup. Additionally, the cranks and bottom bracket implemented Shimano’s top of the line Octalink system which put the groupo into the top tier racing componentry with Dura-Ace and Ultegra. The 105 rear derailleur utilizes large 11 tooth pulleys with sealed bearings for smooth, quite operation.
