Description
⭐Condition
This De Rosa Dual shows its racing history with honest wear throughout the stunning gold/orange finish. The aluminum tubes have multiple paint chips and surface scratches, with one notable ding on the top tube (paint chipped, small impression visible – purely cosmetic, no structural concern). The carbon fiber stays have clear coat chips but the underlying carbon is sound. The full carbon fork has scratches to the clear coat and the right side orange panel was touched up (you can see scratches through to original paint underneath). All threads, dropouts, and carbon fiber are structurally excellent – this frame is ready to build and ride, but restoring to show-quality finish would require paint work.

🏆The Story Behind the FrameDe Rosa Dual – Serial #NC362 – Metallic Gold/Orange
The De Rosa Dual represents the Italian brand’s exploration of hybrid construction during the late 2000s – an era when frame builders were experimenting with combining aluminum’s responsive stiffness with carbon’s vibration damping. (circa 2009), this frame showcases De Rosa’s commitment to racing performance with that distinctive Italian flair. The Dual wasn’t just about blending materials – it was about creating a frameset that could deliver pro-level stiffness for sprinting while offering carbon’s comfort on long training days, all wrapped in De Rosa’s signature bold colorways that turned heads in every peloton.
🚴The Ride
The Dual lives up to its name – offering aluminum’s instant power transfer through the oversized main triangle while carbon stays filter road buzz before it reaches your saddle. This isn’t a smooth-at-all-costs endurance frame; it’s a racing machine that rewards aggressive riding with immediate response, then surprises you by not beating you up over rough roads. More than just a bike, it’s De Rosa’s answer to riders who wanted modern performance without sacrificing that tactile connection to the road.
🔧Workshop Wisdom
The Dual’s carbon rear triangle deserves careful attention during builds – those carbon stays can hide impact damage under clear coat chips, so I’ve thoroughly inspected this frame, tap tested and confirmed the carbon is structurally sound with no delamination or cracks. If you’re planning to restore the finish, the aluminum main triangle can be professionally repainted, but the carbon stays require specialized clear coat work.
