Notes from MyBikeThing: The MonkeyLite XC was Easton’s legendary CNT carbon riser — lighter than most aluminum bars of the era and genuinely stiff. The Hi-Rise variant gives you that extra 40mm of rise that aggressive XC and trail riders wanted without going full DH. At 596mm it’s already in a usable XC width — no further cutting needed for most builds.
Workshop Wisdom: Carbon bars require a torque wrench — period. Use carbon assembly paste at the stem clamp and torque to Easton’s spec (typically 4–5 Nm). Do not exceed spec; carbon doesn’t forgive overtightening the way aluminum does.
