Description
Condition: Overall very good shape — stanchions show no visible scratches or leakage. Some dings and chips in the lower leg paint, and decals are peeling. The plastic dust wiper retaining rings above the seals show small splits — cosmetic, not affecting function, but a full service kit would replace them. All adjustment knobs (rebound, lockout, compression, TALAS dial) turn freely. Air spring holds pressure — no leaks.
Will this work?
- 26″ wheel MTB, 100mm QR dropout spacing
- 1-1/8″ threadless steerer
- 195mm steerer
- 90/110/130mm travel, 3-position TALAS dial adjustable on the fly
- Post-mount disc brake only — no rim brake mounts
- Air spring; rebound, lockout, and low-speed compression adjust (RLC)
Notes from MyBikeThing: The Fox Talas RLC is the real deal — 32mm stanchions, air spring with linear feel, and full RLC damper giving you independent rebound, lockout, and low-speed compression control. The TALAS travel-on-the-fly system is genuinely useful: shorten the fork for climbing to steepen the head angle, open it back up for descents. A premium fork at a fraction of original retail.
Workshop Wisdom: RLC stands for Rebound, Lockout, Compression — the blue dial is rebound (right leg top), the red knob is lockout with threshold adjust, and the blue ring is low-speed compression. If the fork hasn’t been serviced recently, budget for a lower leg service (new oil + seals) — Fox recommends every 125 hours of riding. Dust wiper retaining ring splits are common with age and replacement kits are widely available from Fox or aftermarket suppliers.
Guarantee: You put in the miles, we put in the work! 30-day Guarantee, rest assured of fit, function and condition. 🙂
