Workshop Wisdom: The 25.4mm clamp zone on carbon bars is unforgiving — use a torque wrench and don’t exceed Easton’s 5 Nm stem clamp spec. Carbon paste on the clamping surfaces eliminates the need to overtighten. And if you’re cutting to width, score with tape first and use a fine-tooth carbon-specific blade.
