Description
Will this work?
- Octalink V2 BB spindle interface — requires BB-ES70 or compatible V2 Octalink BB
- 175mm crank arms, 9-speed
- Chainrings: 44/32/22t — 104/64mm BCD
- 9/16″ pedal threads
- Includes chainring bolts
Condition: Good used condition. Crank arms show scuffs and wear consistent with trail use. Outer 44t ring shows meaningful wear — functional. Middle 32t and inner 22t rings are in excellent shape. Chainring bolts included.
Notes from MyBikeThing: The M751 XT was Shimano’s late-90s/early-2000s trail workhorse — Octalink V2 interface, silver finish, built to last. The mid and inner rings on this one are practically fresh (someone rode flats, not climbs). Outer ring has miles but it’s still a functional drivetrain upgrade or direct replacement. Classic XT quality at a used price.
Workshop Wisdom: The FC-M751 uses Octalink V2 — do not confuse with Octalink V1 (used on road/XTR) or ISIS Drive. The V2 spline has a distinctive profile; the BB-ES70 is the correct factory match. Verify your frame’s BB shell thread standard (English 68mm is most common) before ordering the BB.
Guarantee: You put in the miles, we put in the work! 30-day Guarantee, rest assured of fit, function and condition.
