Notes from MyBikeThing — The BB-7900 is Dura-Ace level Hollowtech II — precision aluminum cups, optimized bearing placement, and the kind of build quality you’d expect from Shimano’s top road group. Italian thread BBs are a specific find for a specific frame — if you’re running a Pinarello, Bianchi, Colnago, De Rosa, or other Italian-thread frame with a Hollowtech II crankset, this is exactly what you need and they don’t come up often in this condition.
Workshop Wisdom — Italian thread is 36x24mm and both cups are right-hand thread — no reverse threading to fight with unlike English/BSA. Clean the shell threads thoroughly before installation, apply a thin film of grease to cup threads, and torque to 35–50Nm. A properly installed Italian BB should never creak.
Guarantee — You put in the miles, we put in the work. 30-day guarantee on fit, function, and condition. – Paul
