Workshop Wisdom: When installing, route the cable before mounting the derailleur to the hanger — it’s much easier to thread the cable end through the pinch bolt with the derailleur off the bike. Set your B-screw gap first (1mm clearance to the largest cog), then dial in the limit screws before tensioning the cable.
