Notes from MyBikeThing: The E-type mount is the clean solution for frames without a front derailleur clamp — one bolt to the BB, done. The FD-M330 is a reliable workhorse that shows up on a lot of mid-range hardtails and hybrids. A solid replacement or upgrade for the right build.

Workshop Wisdom: E-type derailleurs use a spacer and bolt that thread into the non-drive side of the bottom bracket shell. Torque spec is 5–7 Nm — snug but not gorilla-tight. A cable anchor bolt (M5) is an easy hardware store find if you need to source one before installing.
