Description
Will this work?
- Campagnolo Gran Sport single-pivot sidepull, front and rear pair
- Standard reach: 42–52mm — fits most vintage road frames
- Nutted center bolt mount, standard for era
- Flip-lever quick release on each caliper
- OEM pads in excellent condition, original cable barrel adjusters included
- All hardware included, ready to install
Condition: Excellent. Arms are clean, pads show minimal wear. Cable barrels and QR levers function smoothly. Hardware complete.
Notes from MyBikeThing: The Campagnolo Gran Sport brakeset is the honest working-class Campy — same Italian craftsmanship and single-pivot geometry as the Nuovo Record, without the collector premium. These are increasingly hard to find complete with original pads and barrel adjusters. Eroica-legal, period-correct for 1970s–80s Italian and European road bikes, and they just look right on a steel frame.
Workshop Wisdom: Single-pivot sidepulls center differently than dual-pivots — use the serrated pivot nut to set centering before final tightening, not after. A proper cone spanner on the pivot makes this much easier than trying to do it freehand. Set the pads with slight toe-in for best feel and to minimize squeal.
Guarantee: You put in the miles, we put in the work! 30-day Guarantee, rest assured of fit, function and condition. 🙂
