Disc brakes, everyone’s doing it, why shouldn’t I?

Disc brakes have some very strong advantages. Improved stopping power, better in wet conditions, and let’s be honest, they kinda look cool. Damaged rims don’t effect performance and you don’t need to true your wheels for the brakes to work.

But, let’s not dismiss caliper brakes just yet. They still work great, they’re easy to install, easy to adjust, and much easier to remove your wheels and put them back on. Additionally, they’re a fraction of the weight, less expensive and have no razor sharp surfaces. An un-true wheel may rub on the brakes, but, what better way to know that your wheel is out of true?

The verdict is still out!
