Condition: Good used, fully rebuilt. Bearings disassembled, cleaned, repacked with fresh grease — internals are excellent. Chrome cage shows surface rust and patina consistent with age; cosmetically distanced, they present well. Up-close inspection shows remaining surface oxidation despite substantial cleaning effort. Spindle threads clean, no damage.

The BTE S.G.D.G. stamp (Breveté Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement) is classic French hardware marking. These have been fully rebuilt from scratch — the bearings spin like new. Someone with a wire wheel and an hour to polish will have a stunning pair of Eroica-ready pedals.
Workshop Wisdom: Lyotard 136R pedals use a standard cup-and-cone bearing setup serviceable with basic tools. The outer dustcap threads are fine — use a proper spanner or padded pliers and don’t gorilla them. Bearings are 3/16″ balls. Grease the threads lightly on installation and torque to approximately 35 Nm.
