The 4-bolt faceplate distributes clamp load evenly, which is exactly what you want with carbon bars. 100mm at ±6° is the go-to “neutral” setup for most road and gravel fit positions. Ritchey makes quality stuff and the Comp line punches well above its price point.
Workshop Wisdom Torque the 4 faceplate bolts in a cross pattern to 5–6 Nm — don’t crank one side down first or you’ll create uneven pressure on the bar. Same goes for the steerer clamp: snug evenly, then torque to spec (usually 5 Nm). A torque wrench isn’t optional here, especially with carbon bars.
