Condition
Very good plus used condition. Cage shows very light wear with sharp plating, clamp and hardware are clean, pivots move smoothly. Lots of miles left.

Japan-made 9-speed Ultegra shifting — crisp, positive front shifts that hold their adjustment. The wider 9-speed cage is also a favorite for friction and retro-mod builds where 10-speed cages get fussy.

Workshop Wisdom
Set the cage 1-2mm above the big ring teeth and parallel to the chainring before touching cable tension — 90% of front shifting problems are height and rotation, not the limit screws.
