Workshop Wisdom: Triple front derailleurs are more sensitive to cage height than doubles — set the outer cage plate 1–3mm above the largest chainring teeth before setting limit screws. Too high and shifts will be slow; too low and you’ll get cage strikes. Get the height dialed first, then limit screws, then cable tension.
