These don’t come up often in clean condition and the 70mm Italian shell narrows the field further. If you’re restoring an Italian frame from the 1980s, this is the real thing.

Workshop Wisdom — Italian thread: both cups are right-hand thread — no reverse threading to fight with. Standard BB cup tool for installation. Grease cup threads before installing, torque to 35–50Nm. Confirm your frame shell width is 70mm before ordering — Italian shells are 70mm, English/BSA are 68mm.
