Description
Will this work?
- Sheffield road pedals, France
- Standard 9/16″ x 20 threading
- Christophe chromed steel toe clips
- Lapize blue leather straps
- Complete set, both sides
- Includes: pedals, clips, straps
Condition: VG+ condition. Chrome plating is bright and shiny on pedals and clips. Leather straps show light wear and in better condition than the age would suggest. Bearings turn but need cleaning and repacking before riding. Lots of miles left.
Notes from MyBikeThing: Off a 1950s-60s Olmo teardown where every part came off clean — no seized threads, nothing forced. This is the classic French setup of the era: Christophe invented the toe clip, and Lapize straps carry the name of the 1910 Tour de France winner. The blue leather is a harder find than standard black.
Workshop Wisdom: The grease in these bearings has hardened to candle wax — which actually preserved the races for sixty years. Pull the dust caps, flush with solvent, repack with fresh grease, and these cup-and-cone pedals will spin another sixty. Budget twenty minutes a side.
Guarantee: You put in the miles, we put in the work! 30 day Guarantee, rest assured of fit, function and condition 🙂
